I went to a Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown concert about
a week ago, and all I have to say is, wow. It was freaking fantastic! It was so
good that I think that it is worthy to post something about it on my blog. Now,
for something like that to be worthy enough to be posted on this amazing blog
had to have been something special; and let me tell you this, it was. So much
so that I am going to have to explain everything. So I hope that you agree, if
you went to the concert, that I am correct on everything that I say.
I
just want to address the bad parts of their concert. It’s nothing major, it’s
just a little annoying. First off, their lead singer told a group of people in
the mosh pit to start waltzing in a circle. I have no clue why the hell he did
that. It was so random and he said it out of no wear. Then also when he is
performing, he stands in one spot for an entire song. I would personally like it
if he would have moved around a little bit more. Then the last thing that
bugged me was the swearing. I hear swearing all the time, it’s basic vocabulary
of a high school student. But when he cussed, it was so awkward. I don’t know
why, but it was.
That
was just little things, now for the awesome parts. Breaking Benjamin opened
with their song failure. Personally that is my favorite song by them, so when
they came right out with it, I just about pissed myself from excitement! Then
they went on with their songs and the room just kept getting better and better.
They sang songs like Angels Fall, I Will Not Bow, Diary of Jane, and Give Me a
Sign. Each song was just amazing. They sounded amazing and the crowd went crazy
for them. Then in the middle of their concert, they came out with a surprise. The
whole U.S. Cellular Center went completely black. Then, they came out with
light sabers. Freaking light sabers!!! They did a tribute to the upcoming new
Star Wars film. They had Storm Trooper helmets and everything! Then they did
the Star Wars theme song on the guitar, and all I can say is that it was
fan-damn-tastic.
Other
than those first few things that I said I didn’t like, it was an all-around
good concert. I like Breaking Benjamin a lot more than I did going into it. I
would love to go see them again if I could.
